How to prepare for VITREE and the PhD interview

  • Pick your school and supervisors early: identify the VIT school and faculty whose work matches yours; interview panels often probe that fit.
  • Check the syllabus: look up the VITREE syllabus on the admissions portal and revise your core subject at postgraduate level.
  • Draft a one-page research idea: a clear question, method and expected outcome gives the interview panel something concrete to discuss.
  • Know your track: if you apply for the Deep Technology or Industry track, be ready to explain why it suits your goals.
  • Keep documents ready: mark sheets, degree certificates and ID proof, so the online application goes smoothly.
