About the music search and discovery science role
- Frame search and ranking problems as ML, information retrieval or optimisation tasks with scientists, engineers and product managers
- Build and evaluate production models using classical ML, deep learning, LLMs and agentic AI to improve music discovery and intent resolution
- Take algorithms from idea to production, including data pipelines, model serving and offline and online evaluation
- Design and analyse large A/B experiments on relevance, engagement and satisfaction
- Explore multimodal understanding, richer content semantics and new retrieval methods
- Explain decisions and roadmaps to technical peers and senior stakeholders
What Amazon is looking for
- 3+ years building models for business applications
- A PhD, or a master’s degree and 4+ years in CS, CE, ML or a related field
- Programming in Java, C++, Python or a similar language
