Amazon’s Worldwide Returns & ReCommerce (WWR&R) organisation is hiring an Applied Scientist II in Hyderabad. The team works towards ‘three zeroes’, zero cost of returns, zero waste and zero defects, by managing returned and damaged products from the customer to their next best use. Science work includes machine learning to automate routing and find signals that optimise reuse, as part of Amazon’s circular-economy efforts.

- Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimisation, data mining, or parallel, distributed or high-performance computing
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as MXNet and TensorFlow
Nice to have
- Deep learning algorithms, particularly for computer vision
- Speech, machine translation or NLP systems
- Patents or publications at top peer-reviewed venues
