Job Description
Amazon’s Alexa Ads team is hiring an Applied Scientist II in Bengaluru to build machine learning for conversational, agent-style advertising inside Alexa+. The job is to fit relevant ads naturally into Alexa conversations and to personalise each user’s experience, using NLP, recommendation and deep learning models that go from idea to production with engineers and product managers. The team is new in India and still shaping its roadmap.

What Amazon is looking for
- At least 3 years of building models for business applications
- A PhD, or a master’s degree and at least 4 years of experience in CS, CE, ML or a related field
- Patents or publications at top peer-reviewed conferences or journals
- Programming in Java, C++, Python or a related language
- Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimisation, data mining, or parallel, distributed or high-performance computing
Nice to have
- Experience using Unix/Linux
- Experience in professional software development
