Job Description
The Large-Scale Integrated Photonics Lab at HPE Labs is hiring a postdoctoral research scientist near Brussels to lead research on generative AI and algorithm-hardware co-design for photonic and analogue electronic design automation. The postdoc will apply modern generative models to inverse design, surrogate modelling, constraint-aware optimisation, layout generation and verification for optical and analogue accelerators, build and benchmark tools, and publish at top venues.

About the postdoc

What Hewlett Packard Enterprise is looking for
- A PhD in electrical engineering, photonics, computer science, applied mathematics, physics or a related field
- Enthusiasm for generative AI applied to optical or analogue design automation
- A strong publication record
- Ability to work alone and in multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent written and spoken English

- Diffusion, flow-based or large language models
