Redwood Materials, which recycles lithium-ion batteries and makes battery materials in the USA, is hiring a cathode design engineer in its Cathode R&D team at McCarran, Nevada. The engineer develops processes to scale up and manufacture cathode active materials (CAM): designing experiments, doing mass and energy balances and process simulation, working with equipment suppliers, contributing to the technology roadmap and filing patents. The site has CAM pilot plants and analytical and electrochemical labs.
