Job Description
This analog design engineer job in Hyderabad is in Analog Devices’ Automotive Networking Business Unit. You will design analog and mixed-signal ICs for wired car networks, such as automotive Ethernet. It is a P3 role.
At a glance
- Position: Senior Analog Design Engineer, Automotive Networking (P3, full time, requisition R266276)
- Where: Hyderabad, India; about 10% travel
- Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or related
- Experience: Typically 5+ years in analog or mixed-signal IC design
- Apply: open until filled (re-checked 29 October 2026)
What the senior analog design engineer does
- Design complex transistor-level blocks: amplifiers, data converters, line drivers and receivers, references and clocking
- Turn product needs into block specifications and help shape the circuit architecture
- Run PVT, Monte Carlo, noise, stability, transient and post-layout analyses
- Work with layout engineers on matching, parasitics, isolation and electromigration
- Prepare designs for tape-out, then support bring-up, lab characterisation, qualification and release
- Review designs and guide junior engineers
Why this role matters
Cars now carry many cameras, sensors and computers that need fast, reliable wired links. Automotive parts must meet strict safety, EMC and reliability rules, so the analog design here is harder than for many consumer chips. The Hyderabad team is growing its analog capability.
What Analog Devices is looking for
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field
- Typically 5+ years of analog or mixed-signal IC design
- Owned complex blocks from specification through layout, verification and tape-out support
- Strong transistor-level design: CMOS behaviour, feedback, noise, matching, variability and reliability
- Cadence Virtuoso and Spectre or equivalent tools
- Tape-out and silicon bring-up, lab measurement or simulation-to-silicon correlation
Nice to have
- Automotive Ethernet PHY or wired automotive transceivers
- Functional safety, qualification, EMC or ESD requirements for ICs
- Behavioural modelling, mixed-signal verification or digitally assisted analog
- Patents, publications or reusable design methods
Pay and location
The posting does not state pay. It is a full-time, day-shift role in Hyderabad with about 10% travel. For jobs that need access to controlled technical data, applicants who are not US citizens or permanent residents may need a US export licensing review.
How to apply
Apply through the official Analog Devices job posting. Analog Devices’s posting does not give a closing date, so the role is open until filled; ResearchJobs.in will re-check this listing on 29 October 2026. Check the posting for location and work-authorisation details before you apply.

How to prepare for this application
- Prepare one block you designed end to end: the specification, the architecture choice, simulations and silicon results
- Revise op-amp stability, noise analysis and offset from mismatch, with Monte Carlo reasoning
- Read the basics of automotive Ethernet (100BASE-T1 and 1000BASE-T1) and what a line driver must do
- Be ready to discuss ESD protection and EMC for a pin that leaves the chip and runs through a car
- Know AEC-Q100 and ISO 26262 at a high level, since automotive qualification shapes the design
