Job Description

Scimplify is hiring a research chemist in polymer R&D at its Anekal and Attibele site near Bengaluru. You will design and test polymer and composite formulations and take them to pilot scale. The role needs an M.Sc., M.Tech. or PhD and 2 to 6 years of polymer or materials R&D.

At a glance

  • Role: Research Chemist, Speciality Polymer (Polymer and Composite Materials)
  • Where: Anekal / Attibele, Bengaluru, Karnataka
  • Experience: 2 to 6 years in polymer, composite or speciality chemicals R&D
  • Type: Full time
  • Apply: open until filled (re-checked 23 November 2026)

What the polymer R&D chemist will do

  • Design, develop and improve polymer and composite formulations
  • Run lab-scale polymer synthesis, compounding, blending and composite fabrication
  • Develop and test thermoplastics, thermosets, elastomers, biopolymers and fibre-reinforced composites
  • Study how structure links to properties, and characterise materials
  • Run application trials, pilot-scale studies, process validation and scale-up
  • Take new products from concept to market, and troubleshoot problems
  • Keep lab records, reports, SOPs and IP documents, and follow safety and quality rules

Why this role matters

Speciality polymers sit behind batteries, electronics, coatings and lightweight vehicles. Few Indian companies hire for polymer R&D with a path from lab to plant. This role covers that whole path, which is good training for a materials career in industry.

What Scimplify is looking for

  • M.Sc., M.Tech. or PhD in polymer science, polymer chemistry, materials science, chemistry, chemical engineering or a related field
  • 2 to 6 years in polymer R&D, composite materials R&D, speciality chemicals or advanced materials

Pay and location

The public job page does not state pay. The role is based at Anekal / Attibele on the south-east edge of Bengaluru. The ad does not give a street address. Ask about pay and the site at the first call. The posting also has a few typos in its company blurb, such as “full-stake” and “Aisa”.

How to apply

Apply through the official Scimplify job posting. Scimplify’s posting does not give a closing date, so the role is open until filled; ResearchJobs.in will re-check this listing on 23 November 2026. Check the posting for location and work-authorisation details before you apply.

  • Describe any scale-up from grams to kilograms and what went wrong
  • Know the main families: thermoplastics, thermosets, elastomers and biopolymers
