What the ML algorithm R&D specialist does

• Design, develop, modify and diagnose complex machine learning and deep learning algorithms
• Invent, prototype and deploy new image processing algorithms and ideas
• Write object-oriented and functional code
• Work on your own and as part of a team

Why this role matters

What KLA is looking for

• A doctorate with 3 years of related work experience, a Master’s with 6 years, or a Bachelor’s with 8 years
• A strong background in one or more of machine learning, deep learning, computer vision or image processing
• Familiarity with a common deep learning framework such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Hands-on experience training ML/AI models that went into a product
• The ability to write model architectures from scratch and modify loss functions
• Good written and spoken communication
