QuRP invites applications for the following post purely on a temporary contractual basis. The appointment is initially for one year but extendable upon satisfactory performance.

Designation: Project Scientist

Project Title: Electrical charging of quantum dots in a photonic device.

Essential Qualification: PhD in Electrical Engineering/Physics/Materials Engineering/MTech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with experience in the development and characterization of devices.

Preferred experience: Electrical measurements and characterization of devices, particularly nanomaterial-based devices. Optional: Knowledge of device fabrication and optics is desirable.

Age: 25 to 35 years

Remuneration: The Salary will be fixed within INR  65000-80000 / per month (consolidated) based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and suitability. The position is full-time, temporary, and contractual.

Job Location: Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.

Job description:

Building essential measurement/characterization equipment for FETs
Design, fabrication, and characterization of FETs using available nanocrystal materials.
Integration and addressing of single nanocrystals into FET architectures.
Simultaneous electrical and optical property measurements.
Selection Process: Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed to determine their suitability for this research.
