Job Description
Associate Professor Teresa Ullberg’s clinical stroke research group in Lund University’s Department of Clinical Sciences is recruiting a PhD student in medical science (neuroscience). The project covers the incidence, treatment, radiological and organisational aspects of acute ischaemic stroke with large vessel occlusion, working closely with the Lund Stroke Imaging Group. Note that the advert requires excellent Swedish as well as English, and a medical or related biomedical degree.

What Lund University is looking for
- A medical degree or another relevant qualification in medicine or a related biomedical field, or current enrolment in a medical degree programme
- Excellent spoken and written Swedish and English
- Good knowledge of data analysis and statistics, with experience of large datasets
- General eligibility: a master’s degree or equivalent, or 240 credits with 60 at second-cycle level
Nice to have
- Courses in epidemiology, biostatistics or research methods
- Clinical, registry-based or neurology, neuroradiology or stroke experience
- Experience with quality registries and statistical software
- Basic assessment of brain CT scans
Pay and location
Lund’s advert lists a monthly salary without an amount. The post is a fixed-term, full-time doctoral position for 48 months.
