Job Description

DTU Electro offers a PhD in AI-driven optimisation of optical links built on nano-lasers, within the Villum Investigator programme POPCOM (Power-Efficient Fiber-Optic Communication) and the DNRF Center for NanoPhotonics (NANOPHOTON). As data-centre traffic grows, energy per bit is becoming as important as spectral efficiency, and the project will use AI to jointly optimise nano-laser transmitters and their waveforms.

Pay and location

Salary follows the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations, as set out in DTU’s salary structure for scientific staff; the ad does not give a figure.
