Bosch is looking for a research engineer in neuro-symbolic AI and knowledge graphs in Bengaluru to build explainable, knowledge-driven AI assistants. About the neuro-symbolic AI and knowledge graph research role
- Research how to combine formal knowledge representations such as knowledge graphs with machine learning and deep learning
- Design multimodal data pipelines that bring together text, structured data and, where useful, images or sensor data
- Build knowledge-driven assistants with natural language interaction that are explainable and trustworthy
- Ground LLMs and multimodal models in structured knowledge through retrieval and reasoning-aware workflows
- Design and maintain ontologies, knowledge graphs, semantic data models and rules
- Prototype and benchmark ideas on real use cases, publish, file patents and support transfer to product teams
What Bosch is looking for
- Proven design and implementation of hybrid systems that combine ML with symbolic reasoning, preferably knowledge graphs
- Data engineering for integrating and cleaning heterogeneous, multimodal data
- Practical NLP with libraries such as Hugging Face Transformers, spaCy, NLTK or Gensim
- Experience extracting structured knowledge from text with named entity recognition and relation extraction
- Graph ML with tools such as RDFlib, KGLab or PyTorch Geometric (link prediction, node classification, graph embeddings)
- Experience of working in international, cross-functional teams
Nice to have
- Ontology design, schema alignment, rule authoring and explainable inference
- Hybrid reasoning for causal reasoning, planning and explainable decision-making
