- Manage hybrid and line development for specific rice market segments in India
- Design, plan and run breeding projects that lead to better lines

- Help build a marker and genomics-based selection programme for rice
- Analyse and interpret trial data, and write and present reports on time
- Work with breeding operations, trialing and enabling technology teams (pathology, entomology, analytics)

Why this role matters
Rice feeds a large part of India. A better hybrid can give farmers more yield and better disease resistance. New tools like doubled haploids and genomic selection cut the years it takes to bring a hybrid to market. This post leads that work for Indian rice segments, so it suits an experienced breeder who wants to see their lines reach farmers.
