What the digital pathology senior scientist does
- Develop image analysis, computer vision and machine learning methods for digital pathology
- Build pipelines for whole-slide images, H&E, IHC, multiplex immunofluorescence and spatial omics data
- Do tissue segmentation, cell phenotyping, feature extraction and spatial analysis
- Work with pathologists and translational scientists to interpret image-derived biomarkers
- Benchmark and validate algorithms
- Deploy pipelines on cloud or high-performance computing systems

What Amgen is looking for
- PhD or MS in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics or a related field
- Strong computer vision, image analysis and deep learning
- Experience with biomedical imaging data, pathology preferred
- A record of building, validating and deploying computer vision or deep learning methods, including in released products
- Python with TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Large-scale data and cloud computing
Nice to have
- 3+ years in computational imaging, digital pathology or medical image analysis
- QuPath, HALO, Visiopharm or OpenSlide
- H&E, IHC, multiplex IF or spatial transcriptomics data
- Publications or conference talks
