Job Description

Micron’s HBM team in Hyderabad is hiring a Principal Engineer for design verification to set the verification architecture for its next generations of high-bandwidth memory, the stacked DRAM that feeds AI accelerators. The role is hands-on and senior: it needs about 12 years of design verification experience, ideally with DDR, GDDR, LPDDR memory or SerDes PHY IP, plus the ability to lead a team.

What you would do

• Define the verification architecture, methodology and sign-off criteria for next-generation HBM designs
• Write verification plans and coverage strategies, and architect reusable UVM testbenches and components
• Apply formal verification to critical logic
• Work closely with design teams to make verification complete, and mentor other verification engineers
• Improve verification quality and speed with new methods, including AI-assisted verification

What Micron is looking for

• Expert SystemVerilog and UVM, and strong formal verification experience
• Solid grasp of SoC architecture, bus protocols such as AXI and PCIe, and low-power design
• Hands-on simulation, coverage analysis and regression management
• A record of leading verification teams and setting technical direction
• A bachelor’s, master’s or PhD in electrical or computer engineering, or equivalent experience

Nice to have

• Pre-silicon verification of DDR, GDDR or LPDDR memory, or SerDes PHY IP
• Comfort using AI coding assistants in verification work
