Job Description
MIPS, part of GlobalFoundries, is hiring a Senior Principal Engineer in Bengaluru to lead its Linux-based AI software development kit for RISC-V AI hardware. The technical lead will shape the whole stack, from board support packages and kernel drivers to neural-network acceleration and the bridge to frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow. It needs ten or more years in software, hardware architecture or ML systems.

What you would do
- Drive architecture and development of embedded AI software stacks on Linux for RISC-V AI hardware
- Lead and build the end-to-end Linux SDK: board support packages, kernel drivers and tooling
- Lead firmware and OS bring-up and optimise neural-network acceleration
- Connect SoC hardware to frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow
- Set up automated testing, observability and CI/CD for the SDK
What GlobalFoundries is looking for
- BS or MS (preferred) in EE, CE, CS or equivalent with 10+ years and a record of technical leadership
- Deep knowledge of CPU and SoC architecture, memory hierarchies, Linux and power management, and how they interact with AI workloads
- Familiarity with AI compiler infrastructure such as MLIR, IREE, TVM or TFLite
- Ability to drive consensus across teams without direct authority

- RISC-V ecosystem and open-source contributions
