Job Description

NTU’s School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering is hiring a Research Fellow in IC design to design and build high-speed, high-efficiency analog and RF chips, focused on RF power management ICs. The fellow handles the full cycle from circuit design to measurement and also supports teaching. Entry-level candidates are welcome, and a master’s with two years of IC design experience qualifies.

At a glance

  • Post: Research Fellow (IC Design, req. R00025699)
  • School: Electrical and Electronic Engineering
  • Qualification: Ph.D., M.Eng or M.Sc with 2+ years in IC design
  • Posted: 7 September 2026
  • Apply: open until filled (re-checked 14 October 2026)

What the post involves

  • Design, implement and test RF power management ICs and other analog, mixed-signal and RF ICs
  • Handle circuit design, simulation, modelling, layout, verification and measurement
  • Write scripts and algorithms for analog IC design
  • Prepare papers and technology disclosures, and help with labs and tutorials

Why this post matters

RF power management chips set how long phones and IoT devices run and how efficiently they transmit. NTU’s EEE school is one of the largest in the world, and this post gives chip designers both research output and teaching experience, a useful mix for an academic career.

What NTU is looking for

  • A Ph.D., M.Eng or M.Sc in electrical engineering or a related field
  • At least 2 years of relevant IC design or electronics experience
  • Familiarity with analog, power management, RF, ADC or DAC design
  • Proficiency in Cadence, Python and MATLAB

Nice to have

  • Tape-out and measurement experience

Pay and location

NTU does not state a salary in this advertisement; research staff pay in Singapore follows the institution’s own scales and depends on qualifications and experience.

How to apply

Apply through the official NTU job posting. NTU’s posting does not give a closing date, so the role is open until filled; ResearchJobs.in will re-check this listing on 14 October 2026. Check the posting for location and work-authorisation details before you apply.
