BRIC-THSTI in Faridabad has opened PhD admissions in translational health science for the 2026-27 winter session, with 15 seats across clinical research, virology, maternal and child health, computational biology, microbiology, diagnostics, and the biological and chemical sciences.

The notice is dated 25 September 2026. The PhD programme at THSTI follows the rules of the Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB), and selected students do course work and a three-month field immersion programme before their PhD research at the institute.

Eligibility
- A Master’s degree or a four-year Bachelor’s degree in any area of science and technology, or MVSc, or MBBS or equivalent, with at least 60% marks
- A valid five-year national fellowship from UGC, CSIR, ICMR, DBT or NBHM, valid for activation for at least four months after the last date
- Final-year Master’s students may apply, but must produce the result and mark sheet at the interview
Shortlisted candidates are called directly for an interview at THSTI, and selection is based on the interview. Candidates with OBC, SC or ST category fellowships should upload their scorecard. The notice’s seat split lists no SC seats, and says candidates with category fellowships may fill seats in their category; ask THSTI if this affects you. RCB fees are payable by the student, and shared hostel rooms may be offered in place of HRA.
