Job Description

Amazon’s Customer Fulfillment and Prime analytics team (IES CFX and Prime) is hiring a data scientist in Bengaluru. The role builds ML and statistical systems that detect abuse, such as fraudulent customer behaviour, rings of linked accounts, identity changes and marketplace manipulation, across more than ten countries. It also uses generative AI to automate how customer promotions are handled.

About the CFX and Prime data scientist role

  • At least 1 year creating or contributing to mathematical textbooks, research papers or educational content
  • A master’s degree in a STEM field, or equivalent STEM work experience

Nice to have

  • A PhD in a STEM field
  • Statistical and BI tools such as SPSS, SAS, S-PLUS or R
  • Clustered data processing (Hadoop, Spark, MapReduce, Hive)
  • Working with or evaluating AI systems
