Amazon’s EU Marketing and Prime organisation is hiring a data scientist for its PRIMAS team, based in Bengaluru. The role combines applied statistics with large-scale analytics: designing experiments and causal models to measure marketing incrementality across channels, and owning the pipelines, metrics and reporting that make those results usable. The team studies customer segments, affinities and lifetime value.

About the marketing science role

  • Design and run rigorous experiments (A/B, geo, holdout, quasi-experiments) to measure marketing incrementality

What Amazon is looking for

  • At least 4 years of data scientist experience
  • At least 4 years of machine learning, statistical modelling, data mining and analytics
  • At least 4 years with SQL, Python, or statistical software such as R, SAS or MATLAB
  • At least 1 year working with or evaluating AI systems
  • Experience applying theoretical models in an applied setting

Nice to have

  • A master’s degree in a STEM field
  • Data science experience at a large technology company
  • Defining benchmarks for GenAI model performance
  • Multi-team, cross-disciplinary projects and clear written communication
