Job Description
Uppsala University’s Faculty of Medicine has advertised four postdoctoral fellowships, each for two years and funded by Swedish foundations, in medical research, clinical research, neurological research (with a focus on Friedreich’s ataxia) and cardiovascular disease. The duty is your own research, hosted by one of the faculty’s departments. Unusually, you bring the project: applications need a research description, an implementation plan and a statement that the head of the host department is prepared to accept you.

What Uppsala University is looking for
- A doctorate or equivalent foreign degree, normally awarded no more than three years before the deadline (longer for special grounds such as parental leave or clinical service)
- Not previously employed as a postdoc at Uppsala for more than one year in the same or an adjacent subject
- A written confirmation that the head of the host department is prepared to accept you
