Eligibility
- Ph.D. with First Class or equivalent in the preceding degree and a good academic record throughout
- Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis may apply with proof of submission
- Preferably under 32 years of age at the time of applying
Candidates selected before defending their thesis receive INR 50,000 plus HRA and no research grant until they share the Ph.D. degree certificate or provisional certificate; the total appointment is still one year. Just meeting the minimum criteria does not guarantee selection, and the fellowship is non-transferable. Rolling programme: there is no closing date.
