Job Description
Uppsala University’s Department of Law is recruiting a doctoral student in environmental law, specialising in nuclear power, funded by the ANItA competence centre. The project examines how Swedish, EU and international law structure licensing of new nuclear power, where many authorities share responsibility under environmental, nuclear safety, radiation protection and planning law, and how the rules affect efficiency, legal certainty and legitimacy, with comparisons to other jurisdictions reforming their systems.

About the nuclear licensing law PhD
- Analyse Swedish, EU and international law governing nuclear licensing
- Study coordination of permitting regimes, institutional responsibilities and procedural sequencing
- Compare selected jurisdictions that are reviewing or reforming their systems
- Work with ANItA’s academic and industrial partners; teaching up to 20%
