Job Description
KTH’s School of Engineering Sciences in Chemistry, Biotechnology and Health is recruiting a Marie Skłodowska-Curie doctoral student to study how electrolytes behave inside nanoporous electrodes. The project asks how pore size, shape and surface chemistry govern ion confinement and charge storage, separating the roles of ions inside and outside the pores. It focuses on ionic liquid electrolytes for batteries and supercapacitors, studied with advanced NMR techniques and targeted computer modelling.

About the electrochemical interfaces PhD
- Study electrolytes in nanoporous carbon electrodes, including how pore size, morphology and surface chemistry affect ion confinement

Marie Skłodowska-Curie eligibility
This is an MSCA-funded doctoral position, so the standard MSCA rules apply: you must not already hold a doctorate when recruited, and you must not have lived or had your main activity (work, studies) in Sweden for more than 12 months in the 3 years before recruitment. MSCA positions also include a mobility allowance and, where applicable, a family allowance on top of the salary.

Pay and location
KTH states a starting salary of SEK 33,700 per month (about EUR 2,991, before tax) under its doctoral salary agreement, plus the MSCA mobility allowance and possible family allowance.
