Job Description
Stockholm University’s Department of Philosophy, the largest in Sweden, is recruiting a PhD student in theoretical philosophy, which covers epistemology, metaphysics, philosophy of mind, logic, philosophy of language, philosophy of science and the history of philosophy. The department hosts the Centre for Logic, Language and Mind, projects such as Modeling as a method of philosophy, the Knowledge Resistance programme and the Centre for Medieval Studies, and takes part in networks such as the Nordic Network for Philosophy of Physics and the Scandinavian Logic Society.

What Stockholm University is looking for
- General entry: a second-cycle degree, or 240 credits including 60 at second-cycle level, or equivalent
- Specific entry: at least 30 ECTS credits in theoretical philosophy at advanced level, including a master’s thesis, or equivalent competence
- A research plan of at most four pages (excluding references)

- Critical and analytical ability, language skills, creativity and independence shown in your theses or papers
