Job Description
Empa’s Laboratory for Advanced Fibers in St. Gallen is hiring a postdoc chemist to develop a new class of melt-spun liquid-core fibres that selectively scavenge transition-metal ions and other degradation products in lithium-ion batteries, to reduce cell damage and extend battery life. The work covers fibre design, scavenger chemistry, melt-spinning and post-treatment, grant writing and student supervision. The contract is for two years.
