Job Description
GlobalFoundries’ GF Labs is hiring a principal member of technical staff for ion-trap photonics integration in Malta, New York. The role defines how photonic components (waveguides, gratings, couplers, modulators and optical interfaces) are integrated with ion-trap devices, back-end layers and packaging for scalable trapped-ion quantum computers, and drives coupling efficiency, loss, alignment tolerance and yield. It reports to the Quantum Ion Trap Lead Integrator.
