Job Description
Uppsala University’s Department of Government, one of Europe’s leading political science departments, is hiring a permanent professor of political science. The professor takes overall responsibility for research and education in the subject at every level and helps develop the field. The faculty aims for the post holder to spend half of their working time on their own research, and a paid sabbatical semester may be possible after some years. Candidates are assessed on research, leadership and teaching expertise, and the advert says strong leadership and teaching can outweigh a slight research edge.
