Job Description
BRIC-NCCS in Pune is recruiting a Project Associate in cancer RNA biology (Project Associate-I) to study super-enhancer transcribed long non-coding RNAs (SE-lncRNAs) involved in glioblastoma tumorigenesis, in the group of Dr Vidisha Tripathi.

About the glioblastoma lncRNA Project Associate post
- Maintain mammalian cell cultures round the clock, grow cells at scale, subculture, synchronise and harvest them at set time points
- Run transfections and knockdown screens, and analyse cells by flow cytometry
- Isolate RNA, perform immunoprecipitations and characterise RNA–protein interactions biochemically
- Carry out bioinformatic analysis of the resulting data

Why this role matters

Eligibility
- A four-year Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences, or BVSc, B.Pharm, or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology or Medicine
- Prior hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture, transfections, knockdown screening, flow cytometry, RNA isolation, IPs and RNA–protein biochemistry
- Age: not more than 35 years on the closing date of application

How to prepare for this application
