Job Description

NTU’s School of Materials Science and Engineering is hiring a research fellow in membrane catalysis. The role designs nanochannel materials, fabricates devices for ionic and molecular transport, and studies system-level applications, preparing 2D and porous materials for nanochannels and analysing density, microstructure and mechanical and thermal properties. It asks for at least three years of experience in membrane separation and catalysis.

At a glance

  • Position: Research Fellow, Catalysis Membranes (R00025750)
  • School: Materials Science and Engineering
  • Posted: 11 September 2026
  • Experience: 3+ years
  • Apply: open until filled (re-checked 13 October 2026)

About the membrane catalysis post

  • Prepare 2D and porous materials for nanochannel fabrication
  • Analyse density, microstructure and mechanical and thermal properties
  • Build ionic and molecular transport devices and study applications
  • Draft reports and manuscripts
  • Maintain equipment and coordinate procurement

Project scope

The advert describes three strands: designing nanochannel materials, fabricating devices for ionic and molecular transport, and investigating how the membranes perform at system level in catalytic applications.

About NTU’s School of Materials Science and Engineering

The school runs interdisciplinary research in areas including computational and characterisation materials science, energy, nanomaterials, low-dimensional materials and sustainable materials.

What NTU is looking for

  • A PhD in membrane science, chemical engineering, materials science or a related field
  • At least 3 years in membrane separation and catalysis
  • Familiarity with 2D and porous materials
  • Good communication and independent work

Pay and location

NTU’s posting does not state a salary or contract length. The post is full time in Singapore.

How to apply

Apply through the official NTU job posting. NTU’s posting does not give a closing date, so the role is open until filled; ResearchJobs.in will re-check this listing on 13 October 2026.
