What Cohere is looking for
- Currently pursuing a PhD in machine learning, NLP, AI or a related discipline; the posting also says it will consider exceptional non-PhD candidates

- Experience with large-scale distributed training, data annotation and evaluation pipelines, or implementing state-of-the-art models
- Familiarity with Transformers, strong communication and problem-solving, Python (or C, C++, Lua) and JAX, PyTorch or TensorFlow
Nice to have
- Publications at top venues in machine learning, NLP, AI, computer vision, optimisation, statistics or related fields
- Strong quantitative problem solving and experience with complex, high-dimensional data
