About the lending decision science role
- Design and implement ML solutions across the credit lifecycle: risk scoring, income prediction, collections and sales optimisation, and fraud detection
- Build model validation, monitoring and governance that meet regulatory requirements
- Help the decision-engine team deploy models in production with sub-second latency
- Develop new modelling approaches for new lending products and new geographies, and deliver scalable data pipelines
- Mentor junior team members and present recommendations to senior leadership
What Amazon is looking for
- At least 5 years of data scientist experience
- At least 5 years with SQL, Python, or statistical software such as R, SAS or MATLAB
- A master’s degree in a STEM field, or equivalent STEM work experience
- Experience applying theoretical models in an applied setting
- Knowledge of machine learning concepts and their use in reasoning and problem solving
Nice to have
- AWS services such as S3, Redshift, SageMaker, EMR, Kinesis, Lambda and EC2
- Clustered data processing with Hadoop, Spark or Hive
- Multi-team, cross-disciplinary projects
- Defining benchmarks for assessing GenAI model performance
