This analytical development scientist job in Hyderabad is in Novartis Technical Research and Development (TRD). You will lead late-phase analytical method validation for new chemical entities (NCEs), with a focus on oral solid dosage forms.

What the analytical development senior expert does
- Lead late-phase analytical method validation for new drugs in development
- Optimise and validate methods for tablets and capsules, using chromatography, dissolution testing and statistics
- Plan, run and report method development, validation, transfer, stability and release testing for drug substance and drug product
- Write analytical documents, including answers to health authority questions and CMC sections
- Coach and mentor scientific associates
- Contribute to publications, presentations and patent applications

What Novartis is looking for
- PhD in Analytical Chemistry or a related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s in chemistry, pharmacy or a related field with at least 12 years in pharmaceutical analytical development
- Analytical control strategy, method lifecycle management, critical quality attributes and specifications
- USP/EP/JP dissolution rules, and dissolution method development and validation
- LIMS and chromatography data systems such as Chromeleon
- Solid GMP experience (mandatory)
- Clear presentations and scientific writing
Nice to have
- Mass spectrometry experience
- A record of guiding and mentoring colleagues
