Job Description
Copenhagen Business School is offering a funded PhD scholarship in marketing, in its Department of Marketing, on a three-year salaried contract starting 1 February 2027. Unlike a self-funded doctorate, CBS employs its PhD scholars: the post carries a monthly salary with pension on top, and the project studies how generative AI tools can be folded into workshop teaching without destroying what makes collaborative learning work. Applications close on 30 September 2026.

How to prepare for this application
- The project description decides this application. Engage with the specific project — generative AI inside workshop formats — rather than submitting a general marketing proposal
- Check your grades against the stated thresholds before you invest the time: 8.2 combined, or 9.5 in the master's with a thesis of at least 10, on CBS's 7-point scale
- If your degrees are from outside Denmark, work out the ECTS equivalence early; the 180+120 structure is a hard requirement at enrolment
- Show you can handle both sides of this work: service design thinking and empirical study of how people actually adopt a tool
- The ethics of consent and privacy around AI in classrooms sit inside this project. A candidate who raises them unprompted will read well
- Write for a marketing department, not a computer-science one: the contribution is about service ecosystems and user adoption, not model performance
