About the seller partner services science role
- Research, design and improve models that affect selection quality and fee revenue
- Turn business requirements into analytical work, and design tests that explain model impact on customers and cost
- Build ML models covering feature engineering, probabilistic and latent-variable models, tuning and scalable inference
- Prototype, test and improve models with real-time data
- Present models and findings to science, product, engineering, finance and operations partners
What Amazon is looking for
- A master’s degree in engineering, computer science, machine learning, operations research, statistics, mathematics or a similar quantitative field
- At least 3 years building ML models or algorithms for business, and at least 3 years solving business problems with ML, data mining and statistics
- Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimisation, data mining, or parallel, distributed or high-performance computing
- Patents or publications at top peer-reviewed venues
- Programming in Java, C++, Python or a related language, and professional software development experience
Nice to have
- A PhD in a quantitative field
- At least 5 years building ML models or algorithms for business applications
