Job Description
Form Energy is hiring an early-career Battery Engineer for its Anode Design and Performance team, which designs and validates the iron negative electrode in its iron-air batteries. It is a hands-on lab role with daily mentoring: running electrochemical tests on iron electrodes and cells, building subscale prototype cells, characterising samples and organising data. What you would do
- Run and interpret electrochemical tests on iron electrodes and cells in lab and larger test vehicles
- Build subscale prototype cells
- Prepare and characterise electrode samples (for example SEM, EDS, BET, XRD and particle size analysis)
- Write test protocols, troubleshoot failures and maintain cells on test
- Organise test data, spot trends and report to the team
