- B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering
- Working experience in handling fibre-reinforced polymer matrix composites
- Skill in design for assembly and manufacturing, and in meshing and simulation with tools such as Ansys and Altair HyperMesh
- Hands-on experience in VARTM, autoclave and out-of-autoclave processes, and in designing and making composite moulds
- Indian nationals only

How to prepare for this application
- Know Type 4 cylinders: a polymer liner wrapped in carbon or glass fibre, and how it differs from Type 3.
- Revise filament winding: winding angles, helical and hoop layers, and how they carry pressure loads.
- Bring process examples: describe a VARTM or autoclave part you made, the mould, and what went wrong.
- Show simulation work: a laminate model in Ansys or HyperMesh with burst-pressure checks is a strong point.
