Adobe is hiring a Research Scientist (Applied) IV for its Media and Data Science Research (MDSR) Lab in Noida, part of the Customer Experience Orchestration business unit, to lead research in areas such as NLP, computational social science and machine learning, publish at top venues, and turn results into Adobe products.

What you will do
- Develop and lead research in areas such as natural language processing, computational social science and machine learning
- Design challenging evaluations for creative intelligence and marketing performance
- Develop scalable synthetic data generation and evaluation techniques
- Analyse complex, high-volume, high-dimensional data, train models and run experiments on data and model quality
- Integrate core ML models into Adobe Experience Manager and Adobe Experience Platform
- Prototype quickly with product, design and engineering teams and move research into production

What Adobe is looking for
- A PhD and 3 years of experience, or 6 years of experience, in industrial research in computer science, statistics, economics or a related field
- Hands-on experience deploying solutions in production
- Multiple publications at top venues such as ICLR, NeurIPS, ICML, PNAS, Nature, Science, ACL, EMNLP, CHI, WWW, KDD or CVPR
- Expertise in one or more of LLMs, NLP, computational social science, behavioural sciences, agentic workflows, social network analysis, causal inference, recommendation systems or multimodal content understanding
Nice to have
- Drawing concrete conclusions from large datasets
- Taking research risks and solving hard problems independently
- Leading ambitious projects with clear communication
- Designing rapid, high-quality research experiments and evaluations
